Maharashtra Being Run Like Underworld, CM Running Criminal Gangs: Sanjay Raut

Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut blasted the Maharashtra administration on Thursday, comparing the state to the underworld that formerly flourished in Mumbai, news agency PTI reported.

Criminals and corrupt people are being protected, and the "chief minister and deputy chief minister are running their gangs," said Raut, a close adviser to former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray.

New Delhi: The Centre on Wednesday issued an advisory directing all states and UTs to ensure the maintenance of law and order, peaceful observance of the Hanuman Jayanti festivities and to monitor any factor that can disturb communal harmony in the society. The Union Home Ministry's advisory to all states and union territories came in the wake of communal violence in different parts of the country during Ram Navami last week.
